While providing care to the 450,000 beneficiaries in the Washington, D.C., area he also received referrals of the most complex patients who were air-evacuated from throughout the world to WRAMC to benefit from his expertise. He is one of very few awarded The Ancient Order of St. Lucia by the Society of Military Ophthalmologists for exceptional contributions to the United States of America. He is a recognized expert in his field whose experience spans the entire spectrum of eye care for children and for adults with strabismus.
