Biografía

Veronica Gomez-Lobo, MD, is an obstetrician gynecologist who specializes in pediatric and adolescent gynecology. After receiving her Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University, she completed her internship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and residency at Tufts University. Prior to her recruitment to NICHD, Dr. Gomez-Lobo was the director and fellowship director of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology and professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgetown University and provided care at MedStar Washington Hospital Center (MWHC), Children’s National Hospital and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. She also served as site principal investigator for the National Physician’s Consortium as well as the Disorders of Sex Development-Translational Research Network at Children’s National. She has published and lectured extensively regarding the issues in the field of pediatric gynecology as well as obstetrics and gynecology issues in transplant recipients.

She currently serves as senior clinician and director of the Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (PAG) Program within NICHD. Her areas of focus include fertility preservation, differences in sex development and congenital anomalies of the reproductive tract.
