Sheina Ann Godovich, PhD

Sheina Godovich, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist in the Division of Psychology and Behavioral Health where she specializes in early childhood behavioral health. She has experience with diagnostic assessment, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral approaches including parent management therapy and group therapies. She has additional expertise in school-based mental health and coordination with school professionals.

Dr. Godovich is also part of the Child Health Advocacy Institute's Community Mental Health CORE (Collaboration-Outreach-Research-Equity) team, where she is involved in program development, research, advocacy and coalition-building to promote child behavioral health service across the District.

Dr. Godovich graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and minor in biology. She received her PhD, in clinical psychology from the Catholic University of America with a focus in children, families and cultures. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Loudoun County Public Schools and her post-doctoral fellowship in clinical child psychology at Children’s National Hospital. Her clinical and research interests center on increasing access to services, both through direct services and research of dissemination and implementation processes.
