Sarah Kulsoom Zaidi, MD

Sarah Zaidi, MD, is a board certified pediatric pulmonologist and government volunteer attending physician in the Division of Pulmonary Medicine at Children’s National. She specializes in outpatient clinical pediatric pulmonary disease including (but not limited to) asthma, chronic lung disease of prematurity (BPD), chronic cough, breathing problems present from birth due to atypical development of the respiratory system, common sleep problems and ventilator dependent patients due to chronic respiratory insufficiency.

Dr. Zaidi has published original scientific articles in peer reviewed journals and has presented her work in national and international scientific meetings. She is employed full time at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) where she supports international regulatory alignment for pediatric drug development programs and other cross-cutting pediatric activities at the FDA, including public presentations on topics such as pediatric therapeutic development and international pediatric regulatory activities.

Outside the office, she enjoys cooking, taking care of her family and spending time in nature.
