Perrine Heymann, PhD

Perrine Heymann, PhD, earned her PhD in clinical psychology from Florida International University, where her research focused on examining cultural adaptations to evidence-based interventions and understanding therapeutic factors that influence treatment outcomes. As part of her program, she completed her predoctoral internship at Children’s National Hospital, where she treated children with complex medical conditions and behavioral concerns and their families. Her clinical interests include using culturally responsive evidence-based interventions to children, adolescents, and their families as they relate to anxiety, medical-related, anxiety, medical adherence, and other behavioral/psychosocial difficulties. As the Anxiety fellow, Perrine provides brief assessments and individual and group treatment for children with anxiety and co-morbid disorders.
