Biografía
Myrto Flokas, MD, is a pediatric endocrinologist who treats a wide range of conditions in children and adolescents, including growth and pubertal disorders, diabetes and metabolic concerns. Dr. Flokas is also the endocrine rotator director for the Pediatric Residency Program at Children’s National Hospital. She has a particular clinical and research focus on hormonal disorders affecting adolescent girls, including polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and has collaborated closely with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) on pioneering studies in congenital adrenal hyperplasia. A dedicated educator and mentor, Dr. Flokas is deeply committed to advancing medical education, fostering the development of future clinicians, and integrating cutting-edge research with compassionate, patient-centered care.
