Megan Lear Prior, MD

Pediatrician

Megan Prior, MD, is a primary care pediatrician at Children’s National Columbia Heights and an assistant professor of Pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She has spent much of her career working with families that recently immigrated the United States. In addition to caring for patients and teaching students and residents, she advocates for increased investment in early childhood.

Dr. Prior serves on the American Academy Pediatrics Council on Early Childhood, the board of the Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the board of Child Care Aware of Virginia. Dr. Prior completed medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine and her residency at Seattle Children’s Hospital. She is pursuing her Master’s of Public Health in health policy at George Washington University.
