Mary Margaret Cornaghie, MD

Orthopaedic Surgeon

Mary Cornaghie, MD, is a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at Children’s National Hospital. She grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, before moving to Houston, Texas, to attend Rice University. She then obtained her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine and completed her orthopaedic surgery residency training at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. She then completed additional expertise fellowship training in pediatric orthopaedics at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. 

Dr. Cornaghie specializes in cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular conditions, foot deformities, and general pediatric orthopaedic care and trauma. 

Dr. Cornaghie is a candidate member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA). She has presented research, published orthopaedic journal articles and authored orthopaedic textbook chapters. When she is not at the hospital, she enjoys pilates and yoga, baking cookies, hiking in the DMV area, exploring the Washington, D.C., restaurant scene, and spending time with her husband and cat.
