Mariah S Cheaves, MD

Neonatologist

Mariah Cheaves, MD, is a neonatologist at Children’s National Hospital and an assistant professor of pediatrics at The George Washington University School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN, and completed her residency/fellowship training at St. Louis Children's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She has a quality improvement interest in understanding and improving the provision of mother's own milk to critically ill newborns. She has been trained in point-of-care ultrasound, has experience in the transport of critically ill newborns, and has an interest in teaching the skills required for neonatal resuscitation.
