Maria Lauer, PhD

Maria Lauer, PhD, is a bilingual, bicultural licensed clinical psychologist providing mental health consultation through pediatric primary care integration (Whole Bear Care), as well as child development evaluations through the Child Development Program. Dr. Lauer specializes in child and adolescent mental health with an emphasis on working with Latinx, Spanish-speaking and immigrant families.

Her clinical and research interests include increasing access to culturally appropriate behavioral healthcare, mental health service delivery innovation, and addressing health disparities. Dr. Lauer completed her PhD, in counseling psychology at Lehigh University, her clinical internship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and her postdoctoral fellowship in integrated primary care at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C.
