Biografía
Lowell Frank, MD, is an attending in the Division of Cardiology at Children’s National Hospital, Director of the Cardiology Fellowship Training Program and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He earned a bachelor’s degree with distinction and a doctor of medicine from Cornell University. Dr. Frank completed his training in pediatrics at Cornell followed by fellowship training in pediatric cardiology and advanced cardiac imaging at Children’s National.
Dr. Frank has conducted research at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health analyzing ventricular mechanics in models of congenital heart disease. His interests include advanced echocardiographic measures of ventricular function, medical education, and complex congenital heart disease. He has a particular interest in the international adoption of children with complex congenital heart disease and offers pre-adoption case review and counseling. He participates in transthoracic, transesophageal, and three-dimensional echocardiography, as well as inpatient and outpatient care.
