Biografía
Liny John, MD, is a pediatric oncologist and a member of the Solid Tumor Program team at Children's National Hospital and an assistant professor of pediatrics. Dr. John's clinical research focuses on rare pediatric solid tumors in efforts to improve outcomes for these patients. She also has a special interest in medical education and serves as associate fellowship director and resident/student rotation co-director for the program.
Dr. John graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University. After graduating from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, she completed her pediatric training at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh where she stayed on an additional year to serve as chief resident. She went on to complete her pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at Children's National Hospital where she also served as chief fellow. During her fellowship, she received a master’s in health sciences from the combined NIH/Duke University Clinical Research Training Program (CRTP). She subsequently went on to do two additional years of training in the Pediatric Oncology Branch of the National Cancer Institute at NIH with a special focus on chordoma and other rare pediatric solid tumors.
