Pediatrician

Kayla Ellise Moffett, MD, FAAP, CLC, earned her bachelor's degree in ecology and evolutionary biology, with a minor in global health policy, from Princeton University before receiving her medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Rutgers University. She completed her pediatric residency in the primary care track at Children's National in Washington, D.C., where she developed a passion for partnering with families to help children thrive from infancy through adolescence.

Dr. Moffett is committed to advancing health equity and improving outcomes for all children, particularly in historically under-resourced communities. As a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), she has a special interest in supporting breastfeeding families and helping parents navigate infant feeding with confidence. She also enjoys guiding children and caregivers through the physical and emotional changes of puberty, fostering open communication and equipping families with the knowledge they need to navigate each stage with confidence.

A proud Montgomery County, Maryland, native, Dr. Moffett is honored to care for children throughout the DMV. She believes the best pediatric care is built on trust and partnership. Dr. Moffett strives to create a welcoming environment where children feel heard, parents feel supported and every family feels empowered to make informed decisions together.

Outside the office, Dr. Moffett enjoys taking fitness classes, exploring the charming streets of Georgetown, and spending time with friends and family.
