Biografía

Joan Robinson McElroy, MSN,FNP-C, completed her bachelor's of science in public health before completing an accelerated second degree bachelor's of science in nursing at Georgetown University. She started her nursing career as a registered nurse in the pediatric intensive care unit at Children's National Hospital in 2016. She transitioned to a role on the hospital-wide rapid response team after a few years in the ICU. During that time she simultaneously completed her Masters of Science in Nursing, family nurse practitioner degree. She transitioned to the role of clinic coordinator for the Cystic Fibrosis Center as an APRN in 2022 for both the pediatric and adult cystic fibrosis center programs within the outpatient pulmonary clinic at Children's National and have been loving getting to know this special population of patients.
