Biografía

Jennifer Klein, MD, is a pediatric and fetal cardiologist at Children's National Hospital. She earned her medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She completed her pediatric residency, pediatric cardiology fellowship and advanced cardiac imaging fellowship at Children's National. Concurrent with her clinical training, she earned a master's in public health from George Washington University with a focus on maternal and child health. 

As a clinician-scientist, Dr. Klein's research interests include maternal health and nutrition, addressing disparities in prenatal care for fetal cardiac disease, and neurodevelopmental outcomes for patients with congenital heart disease. She has been awarded a postdoctoral research training grant from the American Heart Association to study the geographic distribution of congenital heart disease. She currently serves as a site principal investigator for an NIH-funded study on neurodevelopmental outcomes in congenital heart disease. She is a member of the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology and American Academy of Pediatrics. She is involved in several national organizations to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in pediatric cardiac healthcare.
