Habib Zalzal, MD

Habib Zalzal, MD, FACS, is a fellowship-trained pediatric otolaryngologist (ear, nose and throat specialist) at Children’s National Hospital and an assistant professor of surgery and pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and holds subspecialty certification in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology.

Dr. Zalzal practices the full breadth of pediatric otolaryngology, with clinical interests including airway disorders, otology, rhinology, head and neck surgery and sleep surgery. He provides complex pediatric ENT care at Children’s National as well as general ENT services at affiliated ambulatory sites.

He earned his medical degree from Georgetown University in 2015. Dr. Zalzal completed his residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at West Virginia University (2015–2020), followed by a fellowship in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology at Children’s National Hospital/George Washington University (2020–2021).

Dr. Zalzal has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed manuscripts in the field of otolaryngology and is an active member of several professional organizations and committees. He has presented his research at both national and international conferences and currently serves on the Pediatric Otolaryngology Education Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. In 2024, he received the Excellence in Patient Experience Commendation for achieving the highest care provider rating at Children’s National Hospital.
