Gaia Cicerchia, MD

Pediatrician

Gaia Cicerchia, MD, is a graduate of the University of Michigan's School of Kinesiology where she studied human physiology and public health. At the University of Michigan, she assisted with the implementation of physical activity programs in preschool classrooms and studied the impact of fundamental motor skills on long term health trajectories.

Dr. Cicerchia is an Italian native, but spent most of her life close by, in Bethesda, Maryland. She returned to the area after her undergraduate studies and earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland. She then completed her pediatric residency at Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Throughout her training, Dr. Cicerchia spent additional time building skills within her areas of interest, including sports medicine and injury prevention as well as child and adolescent mental health.
