Catherine Marie Cross, MD

Pediatrician

Catherine Cross, MD, grew up in Bethesda, MD. She completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Maryland, College Park, and moved to California for medical school at UCLA. Dr. Cross returned to the East Coast for her pediatrics residency at Boston Children's Hospital, where she stayed on staff as a hospitalist pediatrician for two years after residency, serving as a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School.

She was a primary care pediatrician at a group practice in Northern Virginia for 17 years before joining CNPA Chevy Chase in 2025. She has been recognized in Washingtonian magazine as one of the area's outstanding pediatricians for many years since 2016. She is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Cross particularly enjoys newborn medicine, supporting families with developmental questions and watching children and families grow and thrive over time. She and her husband have three children – a young adult and two elementary school students. In her time off, Dr. Cross enjoys baking, hiking and traveling.
