Biografía

Brian Reilly, MD, FACS, FAAP, is a fellowship-trained pediatric otolaryngologist (ear, nose and throat specialist) at Children’s National Hospital and a professor of surgery and pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and holds subspecialty certification in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology.

Dr. Reilly specializes in the management of pediatric hearing loss and is internationally recognized for his expertise in this area. He serves as co-director of the Cochlear Implant Program at Children’s National and performs advanced surgical procedures for hearing restoration, including cochlear implantation, bone-anchored hearing system implantation and ossicular chain reconstruction. He provides complex pediatric ENT care at Children’s National Hospital and general ENT services at affiliated ambulatory sites.

He earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2004. Dr. Reilly completed his residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (2004–2009), followed by a fellowship in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School (2009–2010).

An active clinician-scientist, Dr. Reilly has authored 100 peer-reviewed publications in the field of otolaryngology. He is deeply involved in public health initiatives related to childhood hearing. He serves as the appointed physician to Maryland’s State Hearing Advisory Committee and has been a physician member of the Maryland Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) Program through the Office for Genetics and People with Special Health Care Needs. He currently serves as the Washington, D.C., chapter champion for hearing loss and EHDI, working to improve screening protocols for neonates and premature infants.
