Andrew Brent Meshnick, MD

Pediatrician

Andrew Meshnick, MD, is a pediatrician at Children's National, where he provides comprehensive primary care to infants, children and adolescents. He also is a clinical instructor at The George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Dr. Meshnick is interested in improving health outcomes for children and families. Listening to and partnering with families is the cornerstone of his clinical practice. He is particularly interested in the care of children with asthma. His research and advocacy work focuses on protecting children from the harms of tobacco.

Dr. Meshnick is from Massachusetts. He earned his undergraduate degree in history and medical degree from Georgetown University. He completed his pediatrics internship at the University of Vermont and then completed his pediatrics residency at the University of Chicago/Comer Children's Hospital. During his residency training, he led a practice quality improvement project to improve the experience of children during vaccination. Dr. Meshnick is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
