Ameena Ahmed, PsyD, is a pediatric psychologist at Children's National Hospital. She earned her PsyD from Xavier University in Cincinnati and completed her postdoctoral fellowship in the Pediatric Medical Psychology Program at Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore.
Dr. Ahmed enjoys providing evidence-based interventions to children and their families, and importantly, she is passionate about providing culturally sensitive care. She strives to intervene with systems that impact children and families (e.g., medical providers, school personnel, policies). Her research has focused on self-compassion interventions for parents, and she hopes to expand this research across various populations of parents.
