Amanda E. Hastings, PsyD, BCBA, is a licensed clinical psychologist and board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) specializing in early childhood mental health. She is director of pediatric elimination disorders and behavioral health in the Division of Psychology and Behavioral Health at Children’s National.

Dr. Hastings provides diagnostic evaluations and evidence-based treatment for children from birth to age six and their families. Her clinical interests include maximizing the potential of children with developmental delays, neurodiversity, emotional and behavioral challenges, and elimination disorders (enuresis/encopresis and toilet training difficulties). She offers both individual outpatient therapy and group-based interventions, using an integrative behavioral approach that emphasizes collaboration with parents, respects family values and prioritizes timely, achievable goals within a supportive treatment environment.

Dr. Hastings earned her Bachelor of Science in psychology, with a minor in women’s studies, from Drexel University, and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology. She completed her predoctoral internship at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine/Kennedy Krieger Institute in the Pediatric Developmental Disabilities Clinic and her postdoctoral fellowship at Children’s National in the Child Development Program.
