Biografía

Abdullah Feroze, MD, is a neurosurgeon at Children’s National Hospital and an assistant professor of neurosurgery at George Washington University. Dr. Feroze specializes in the care of children and adults with complex neurosurgical conditions. 

His expertise spans the full spectrum of pediatric neurosurgical care, including: 

  • Management of brain and spine tumors

  • Congenital anomalies

  • Hydrocephalus

  • Spine disorders

  • Epilepsy

  • Spasticity

  • Vascular anomalies 

He serves as a tireless advocate for his patients and their families, providing not only surgical excellence, but unwavering guidance and support through their respective treatment journeys.

One of a select few neurosurgeons in North America with specialized training in both pediatric and adult open cerebrovascular and endovascular techniques, he has a keen interest in providing comprehensive and compassionate treatment for a wide range of congenital and acquired cerebrovascular diseases, including:

  • Brain aneurysms

  • Arteriovenous malformations

  • Idiopathic intracranial hypertension

  • Vein of Galen malformations

  • Stroke

  • Moyamoya disease 

Dr. Feroze employs a tailored approach to each patient's unique needs in conjunction with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, ensuring the most effective and safest possible outcomes. A graduate of the Stanford University School of Medicine, Dr. Feroze completed neurosurgical residency at the University of Washington/Harborview Medical Center and subsequent fellowships at Harvard Medical School (Brigham & Women’s Hospital/Boston Children’s Hospital) and Children’s National. He is an active member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Society for Neurointerventional Surgery and the International Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery.

He remains involved in the realm of health policy advocacy, with prior engagements at the World Health Organization and the White House. His research efforts in brain tumor immunotherapy, global health disparities and vascular neurosurgery have been recognized in multiple publications including The Lancet, Forbes Magazine, Nature Biotechnology, and Science Translational Medicine. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, mountaineering and gardening.
